admultosannos asked: Hey! For my college orientation (James Madison University), they offer these adventure trips in the summer. I can either go backpacking in the Dolly Sods or canoeing in the Shenandoah River. I was wondering if you give give me your opinion on which one is more fun/rewarding (since I don't really have experience in either) or maybe give me a bit of advice regarding them. Thanks!
Hi, well i haven’t been to either of those places or ever done canoeing. Both of those places look amazing and personally I would chose canoeing just because i’ve never done it before and I would be comfortable going backpacking on my own. I think it depends on what area or activity you personally are more interested in. My advice for backpacking, if this is what you chose, is to take rain gear and break in your shoes beforehand. Have Fun!
